Japan Rules is a set of two magazine spreads highlighting the core parts of Japan.
The Japan Rules spreads highlight core parts of Japan to entice people looking for their next vacation. This project uses a digitally made cut paper look that really draws you in. The goal of these spreads is to give a sense of excitement when thinking about Japan and the culture it resonates. Most of the imagery will focus on making the cut paper look like it has depth.
This project was made for the SPD Design Competition where the theme must use, "[insert name] Rules" as the title. Although this is a short project in amount of pieces, it still showcases a very neat digital cut paper style with vector shapes.
